At the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918 – in a small clearing near Compiègne the Allies and Germany met. The Armistice was signed signalling the end of World War 1.
Today, over a hundred years later, as the clock strikes 1100 this Armistice Day – let us all remember.
Remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we know today, and all those who continue to serve.
Lest We Forget.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
