Out and About

Bridget | October 9, 2020

The last piece of work in my diary before lockdown was training. Sadly that course never managed to happen. Now, seven months have passed by and this week, finally, I have been back out and about doing what I love. Three days of face-to-face training.

Delivering training

This week I have been at Woodland Grange, a beautiful training centre in Warwickshire. I have been there a few times and when this opportunity came up, I didn’t need to be asked twice.

While for a few months, I have been back to visiting clients most weeks. Beyond that I have barely been out and about or left the house for much else. This has been my way of doing what I needed to do, to stay safe for me and for my clients.

A great week

Packing my bags and heading off was definitely a strange feeling. Our world is different, going back is not an option. Though nor is staying locked away and doing nothing.

I am delighted to say it has been a great week.

My delegates loved the course, they came from quality and HR backgrounds and were a great group. The conversation flowed.

All of the staff at Woodland Grange were amazing. A warm welcome greeted me and it went from there. They have everything set up brilliantly – one way systems, staggered meal times, masks in certain areas and lots of cleaning and sanitiser where it’s needed. Any concerns I could have had were immediately gone. The chefs even made me my favourite dessert – what’s not to love!

Why am I sharing?

I am sharing this because it’s clear things aren’t what they used to be. We all have to keep working and training needs to happen. And it can! Whatever we need to do can take place safely and I am so thankful for that.

How can I help?

If you or your colleagues would like to get back to face to face training again let me know. I would love to work with you whether an in-house course or residential like this one. Whatever you are after there are ways to make it happen.

If you would like to find out more get in touch – via the contact page, set up a discovery call or call on +44 (0)1933 201103. I look forward to hearing from you.

Great article. Online training is of course a great option, but I have to agree Bridget- nothing beats the face to face training, especially when there is dessert.

Thanks for sharing some of your motivation- it’s got me feeling optimistic about the future.

Best of luck to you from down here in Australia!

Thank you, I think it will be a while here before I get to deliver another face to face course. I will be ready though as soon as I can.

      Stay safe 💚
